

Nowadays, regular cow’s milk contains two main types of protein, A1 protein and A2 protein. A1 and A2 milk differs at just one position, by the presence of various amino acids. Historically, all cows produced A2 milk but gene mutations have made it so that today most cows produce A1 milk. A2 milk is more easily digested by babies with lactose intolerance.
The A2 milk used in Holle’s formula is EU organic certified and comes from specially selected cows that naturally produce only the A2 protein type and no A1. The A2 cows are specifically selected with a strict DNA test.
Holle A2 Organic Infant Formula Stage 1 has been specially developed for the needs of babies from birth.
